When Orianne and I first met, she was a part-time teller at Regions Bank and a business finance student at USC Aiken. I told her how proud I was of her for working to put herself through school and encouraged her to excel because I had dropped out of college and had settled in life. Well, little did I know that almost two years later I would join Orianne as a full-time student at USCA. Every time I’d see her in the hall, we would encourage each other to keep going and that it's all going to be worth it one day.

Well today, Orianne is a great success story. She completed her undergrad in May of 2005; right out of college she secured a lending position at a credit union in Macon, GA. A year later, she accepted a position as a Commercial Credit Analyst at a local community bank in the same town. In May 2008, Orianne stretched herself once more by earning her MBA in Finance from Mercer University.

However, Orianne says she's not done yet. One of her many goals consist of taking her real-world experience to the classroom. That’s right, her passion is to teach Finance at the university level. “I’m not going to settle for a banking career,” claims Orianne, “I want to teach at the college level.” Currently she is exploring PhD programs to find one most suitable for her. And although teaching is Orianne's passion, she also has plans to launch her own Accounting and Real Estate Management firms.

Orianne is a great example that anything is possible to those who believe and work hard to achieve their dreams! She encourages everyone, no matter what the situation or circumstance, life has a platform for you, all you have to do is step out and rise to the occasion.

Orianne Hyppolyte-Glover was born in Clinton, NC to Margarette Pierre and Olda Hyppolyte of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She has 21 brothers and sisters and recently celebrated her second wedding anniversary with her husband Calvin R. Glover of Aiken, SC.
